Founded by Kathrin, a licensed cosmetology salon manager and mother of three daughters, Anointed was created as a space where women feel heard, respected, and comfortable in every stage of their hair journey.
With roots that trace back to Nigeria and over 15 years of professional braiding experience, Kathrin brings intention, patience, and artistry to every client who sits in her chair. Each braid is done with precision, gentleness, and a deep understanding that hair is personal.
Founder's Story
STORY OF KATH
Kathrin’s love for hair began in childhood, growing up in Nigeria where her mother owned a respected hair salon. As a young girl, she watched women walk in carrying stress, stories, and everyday life — and walk out transformed, lighter, and more confident. Those moments stayed with her.
She later studied cosmetology at Hair Academy in New Carrollton, Maryland, and went on to build over 15 years of hands-on braiding experience. For Kathrin, braiding has never been about copying a picture. It is about understanding the person — their lifestyle, comfort, and vision.
That belief shaped Anointed into what it is today: a salon built on trust, listening, and care.
